How they work
Urine and debris passes through an oil-based barrier fluid called "Urilock" which forms the seal to prevent odours from venting into the washroom. This is more effective than valve-based systems. The in-built trap collects debris and requires emptying after approximately every 6,000 uses.Therefore simple and infrequent maintenance is required.
Unlike almost every other waterless urinal system, the Uridan does not require costly replacement cartridges. Therefore, whilst the initial price for these urinal bowls is a little higher, the running costs are significantly lower. The Uridan urinals come in a wide variety of designs, including ceramic bowls, GRP (glass reinforced plastic) bowls and GRP troughs.
