Comparison of Waterless Urinal Costs

This table shows the relative costs for the waterless urinals currently available from Gentworks. The data for typical consumables costs has been estimated from customer feedback, not manufacturer marketing materials. Please note that each washroom has unique usage patterns which effects the quantities of consumables used over a period.

Note: Costs above exclude delivery and fitting, where applicable.

Retrofit Waterless Urinal System

Aridian with Falcon Waterfree Cartridge

  • The Aridian urinal bowl is by far the most populous waterless urinal in the UK.
  • Supplied, as standard, with a replaceable Falcon cartridge.
  • The Falcon cartridge has an oil-based sealant that floats on top of the urine to prevent odours. Note that the sealant may be degraded by water or incompatible cleaning chemicals.
  • When the cartridge is full of hair, debris and uric crystals, it needs to be replaced quickly
  • Typical cartridge life of 3 to 4 months but can be 2 months or 1 year, dependent on usage

Aridian with GW6 Cartridge

  • The Aridian urinal bowl is by far the most populous waterless urinal in the UK.
  • The GW6 has a sophisticated, but reliable, double-valve core which allows urine to pass through into the drain without odours being emitted into the washroom
  • The valve is tolerant of both water and cleaning chemicals. Regular sluicing/dosing with Bactericidal Cleaner, typically every 2 to 4 weeks, is recommended to clean the valve mechanism and protect against blockages.
  • Easily replaceable valve core typically lasts for at least 6 months, but longevity varies between 4 months and 1 year, dependent on usage.

Uridan Waterless Urinals

  • Wide range of urinal bowl and urinal trough models
  • A large integrated  trap has an oil-based sealant that floats on top of the urine to prevent odours. Note that the sealant may be degraded by water or incompatible cleaning chemicals.
  • When the trap becomes full with hair, debris and uric crystals, a procedure to empty and clean the trap then replace the sealant must be carried out.
  • Cleaning the integrated trap can be an unpleasant task. Gentworks  Bactericidal Cleaner is recommended to help with the process.
