Retrofit Cartridge Models

Gentworks supplies fits and services 4 models of  retrofit cartridge:

One of the best known and well regarded models in the UK, the Aquafree Standard Urinal Maintenance Device has been considerably enhanced since its launch in 2003. This model was specifically designed for waterless use but is also successful in low-flushing environments. Gentworks particularly recommends this model  for self conversion to waterless and it is the most popular model we supply.

Gentworks Recycled  (Model R) service contracts only
This is the preferred model for use by Gentworks engineers under service contracts for low-flushing urinals, although it is also very effective when used waterless. The main advantage of this unit, compared to the Aquafree Standard model, is that it can be recycled in Gentworks' workshops for re-use. For sites that choose Gentworks engineers to carry out quarterly servicing and the option to deploy this model of Urinal Maintenance Device, we can collect the used units and recycle them through an environmentally-friendly process. The recycled UMD has less impact on the environment than the biodegradable model.

Constructed from cornplastic, this model is fully biodegradable and ISO 140001 accredited. Yet the Model C is almost indistinguishable from the Model R so stock is kept in a separate buildings at Gentworks. Like the other UMDs, it works well in both waterless and low-flushing modes.

The Twyford Spectrum bowl can be challenging to maintain as, rather than a regular 38mm drain at the bottom of the bowl, it has a smaller 32mm drain at the rear which is particularly prone to blockages. The Aquafree Spectrum Urinal Maintenance Device is designed to fit snuggly into this drain hole, helping to prevent debris entering the waste pipes whilst dispensing the same ingredients to combat blockages and odours as the Aquafree Standard model. It is ideal for waterless use but is also occassionally used in low-flushing environments.
